What is History Day?

National History Day engages students in grades 6-12 in the process of discovery and interpretation of historical topics. Students produce dramatic performances, imaginative exhibits, multimedia documentaries and research papers based on research related to an annual theme. These projects are then evaluated at local, state, and national competitions.

For more information, go to the National History Day site: http://www.nhd.org/ and check out Wyoming History Day Resources for Students, http://www.uwyo.edu/ahc/eduoutreach/historyday/resources.html, from the University of Wyoming American Heritage Center, and Wyoming State Archives, http://wyoarchives.state.wy.us/Archives/HistoryDay.aspx.

The theme for 2014 is Rights and Responsibilities.
